Software Architect – Waltham

Emerging semiconductor developer is seeking a software architect dedicated to customers and collaborative management.

Staff position for software development team focused on All-in-One printers and Digital Photo Frames products.

Define and detail imaging, embedded and host software strategies, architectures and enabling technologies that will allow timely delivery of best-in-class products.

By using a collaborative management style, you will work with our ASIC leads, software leads and marketing team to define, validate, and articulate internally and with key customers.

You should be active in standards committees relevant to our businesses.

Required Skills
- Relevant and current system development experience with imaging systems, printer/scanner product development, real-time systems, LINUX, and/or consumer product development.
- Thrive in complex software environments
- Anticipate relevant emerging technologies and standards
- Leadership skills that allow you to bring together a technology team, unite with a common vision, and then motivate to implement.
- Pragmatic approach that supports time-to-market requirements.
- Strong communication skills. Engages successfully with internal teams (technical and business) and with key customers.
- Mentor and develop team members

Required Experience
- System architecture and/or system design experience in the imaging and embedded software product space. Should include relevant experience with commercially available RTOS' or embedded LINUX.
- Inkjet or laser printer product development experience preferred.
- Consumer product development experience a plus.
- Project Management training and/or relevant experience a plus
- Embrace state-of-the art development, debug and test tools required to meet customer expectation
- Proficiency in Asian language a plus
